The National Association of the Deaf (NAD) is pleased to announce the second annual NAD Spring Benefit Gala set to take place on Saturday, May 14 at the beautiful Hotel Shattuck Plaza in Berkeley, California. The theme of this year's gala is "Celebrating a New Era of Leadership" in recognition of new leadership at the NAD with incoming Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Howard Rosenblum.
NAD President Bobbie Beth Scoggins will inspire the audience with a vision of the future for the NAD and Academy Award winning actress Marlee Matlin will introduce Howard Rosenblum. TL Forsberg, a deaf rock star, will provide spectacular entertainment and nationally-known comedian CJ Jones will emcee the event. The evening will conclude with a live auction for one-on-one breakfast the following morning with NAD leaders and celebrities in attendance.

Your participation will benefit and sustain the NAD and its tireless work on behalf of the American deaf and hard of hearing community. KAD needs a qualified and motivated individual to represent KAD on the KCDHH Board.

The Miss Deaf Kentucky Pageant enrollment deadline has been extended until March 18, 2011. The current forms have been updated to show the extended date. Miss Deaf Kentucky Pageant will take place during our 43rd Biennial Kentucky Association of the Deaf Conference that will be held June 16-19th, 2011 in Lexington, KY at the Griffin Gate Marriott Resort & Spa. The contestant must be of the age 18 no more than 29 prior to July 1, 2011. But they must be a high school graduate by June 16, 2011.
The winner will plan to run for the National Pageant in 2012 during the National Association of the Deaf (NAD) Conference in Louisville, Kentucky.
